President Lincoln is suffering under a domestic affliction. The foot of Death strikes impartially at the door of the ancient castle and of the republican mansion. Mr. Lincoln's child, "Willie," a boy of eleven, has died; and so widespread has been the sympathy for the bereaved father that illuminations for the victory in Tennessee had been abandoned.
