[Captain Hall]

The Illustrated London News, vol. 47, no. 1338, p. 371.

October 14, 1865

Captain Hall, the American Arctic explorer, has written from the Arctic regions, under date December, 1864, stating that he had information from the natives leading him to believe that there may yet be three survivors of Franklin's expedition, including Crozier, who succeeded to the command of the party after Sir John Franklin's death.
