[The American Papers Say]

The Illustrated London News, vol. 45, no. 1293, p. 631.

December 24, 1864

The American papers say that there is a New York regiment which, during their three years' service, has travelled by sea and land more than 12,000 miles, fought twenty general engagements, marched through fifteen States, and has been under Burnside, Pope, M'Clellan, M'Dowell, Meade, Sherman, and Grant.
