[Mr. Lafone, of Liverpool]

The Illustrated London News, vol. 45, no. 1288, p. 510.

November 19, 1864

Mr. Lafone, of Liverpool, the owner of the Laurel, states that Captain Semmes did not leave Liverpool in the Laurel, and that he is positively assured that no men from the Laurel joined the Sea King at Madeira.
