[The Steamer Wonder]

The Illustrated London News, vol. 45, no. 1268, p. 62.

July 16, 1864

The steamer Wonder, which arrived at Southampton, on Thursday from the Channel Islands, reports that the Federal steamer Kearsarge and the Confederate steamer Florida had an engagement off Jersey on Wednesday, in which the Kearsarge was disabled and put into Gorey. The Florida was brought up off Gorey, waiting to renew the engagement.
