The Illustrated London News, vol. 44, no. 1248, p. 267.

March 12, 1864

It is reported that the Confederate General Morgan has attached to each regiment of his new command a negro barber, for the purpose of shaving the heads of all Federal officers whom he may capture, in retaliation for a similar indignity practised upon him in Ohio.
