[Mr. Mason, the Commissioner from the Confederate States]

The Illustrated London News, vol. 43, no. 1223, p. 311.

September 26, 1863

Mr. Mason, the Commissioner from the Confederate States, on Monday sent to Lord Russell a notification that he had been instructed by the Confederate Government at Richmond to withdraw from this country. Mr. Mason, it is understood, will proceed to Paris and remain there.
