[It is Estimated]

The Illustrated London News, vol. 42, no. 1204, p. 559.

May 23, 1863

It is estimated that there are thirty tons of American silver accumulated in Toronto, Hamilton, and London in Canada. The following placard is hung up in the Canadian merchants' stores--viz., American silver taken at 5 per cent discount.
