[The Victoria (Texas) Advocate Says]

The Illustrated London News, vol. 42, no. 1197, p. 391.

April 4, 1863

The Victoria (Texas) Advocate says that a pair of large camels are being put on the express from the Rio Grande to Victoria. They are to be harnessed to a large two-wheeled cart. They will carry 3500 lb. of freight, and make the trip in five or seven days.
