[The City of Aurora]

The Illustrated London News, vol. 38, no. 1085, p. 361.

April 20, 1861

The city of Aurora, in Indiana, U.S., has been for some time brilliantly lighted with gas made from water. The gas is almost odourless, very brilliant, and one-third cheaper than the gas from coal and resin.
